TRANSFORMATION OPERATIONAL MANAGER 

Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence and part of the Finance Shared Services (FSS) Leadership team, the primary objective of the PTP GPO role is to lead and maintain day-to-day operational performance of the process, as well as taking responsibility for the overall strategy, design, policies, transformation, and standardisation of the PTP process area. 
Main Responsibilities: 
Process design, monitoring and improvement. 
Define and document the required process. 
Identify key areas for improvement, implement improvement initiatives and measure these initiatives. 
Change Management. 
Secure senior level buy-in on the process improvement agenda, describing the intention and motivation for the change with clear defined outcomes that benefit the business. 
Execute the process and monitor user compliance. 
Track how well the required process is being followed, address training/skills gaps in the user base. 
Ensure process delivery meets and from time to time exceeds key performance indicators, which must include regulatory and compliance controls. 
 
Main Duties: 
Establishment of a governance model or framework, including acting as the point of escalation and resolution for disputes, proactive identification of risk, reporting upon uncertainties. This will include day to day operational reporting and activity plan adherence through to timely strategic reviews with the shared service partner and internal stakeholders. 
Establishment of a baseline to measure and improve process performance (cost, outcomes and turnaround times) 
Be recognised across group as the ‘go-to’ expert and owner for the process so you are part of the debate about process design. 
Build best in class standard processes and functions. 
Monitoring and measuring end user conformance to process. 
Ensure the KPI’s are top quartile recognising standardisation delivers quality and efficiency, so apply a flexible approach allowing deviations where the effort to achieve standard outweighs the benefit. 
Build and lead a high performance team, including that of service delivery partners, and embed a high performance culture through effective performance management and personal development and attraction, recruitment and retention activity. 
 
Key Requirements: 
The ideal candidate will be used to communicating with senior executives, understand what drives human behaviour, be highly process aware, own a budget and take responsibility for technology and solution investments; be able to apply tact but also call upon the thickness of skin if change gets uncomfortable. 
Strategic thinker yet detailed orientated. 
Be comfortable with transactional detail, have a solid understanding of the transactions, and the levers to determine how performance can be improved. 
Capable of performing a number of different leadership roles such as leading the team performing the end to end process, play a leadership role in the development of the business services organisation, and lead the expansion of the end to end process across the organisation. 
Strong people skills that nature relationships with stakeholders, peers, your team, partners like IT and outsource service providers. 
Expert PTP and master data knowledge and experience – best practice concepts and principles; systems design, configuration and maintenance. 
Good understanding of Financial and Operational Governance best practice and discipline with high levels of integrity and a commitment to embedding a strong governance culture.
