HEAD OF GROUP REPORTING 

This is a leading global engineering business, currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the team as the Head of Group Reporting. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the group reporting function across EMEA, reporting directly to the European Financial Controller. 
Responsibilities: 
• Lead the group reporting function, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 
• Manage the financial reporting process for the EMEA region, including the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 
• Collaborate with local finance teams to collect and consolidate financial data, ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial information across the group. 
• Stay up to date with changes in IFRS standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting principles. 
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and procedures to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting. 
• Provide expert guidance on technical accounting matters and assist in the resolution of complex accounting issues. 
• Support the European Financial Controller in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for executive management and external stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial expertise and support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, as needed. 
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance efficiencies, and drive automation within the group reporting function. 
 
Requirements: 
• ACA qualification from a Top 4 accounting firm, with a strong academic background. 
• Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational engineering or manufacturing organization. 
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and strong technical accounting skills. 
• Proven track record in preparing and managing group consolidated financial statements. 
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. 
• Proficient in financial reporting systems and tools. 
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. 
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
