Head of Finance - London
Backed by some of the UK's top venture funds we have exciting plans and are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping us through our next phase of growth, championing finance as a strategic function to improve business performance.
The chosen candidate will work directly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in what is an important role for the business with great career progression opportunities.
Head of Finance - London
Hybrid working (3 days in office)
£90-£110k + Bonus + Benefits.
Responsibilities
• Leadership and responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations and strategy of the business including but not limited to cash flow management, financial & management reporting, supplier management, tax, and payroll.
• Ownership of the general ledger, ensuring that all entries are complete and accurate, and made in a timely manner.
• Working on the commercial viability of new product development and developing pricing strategies to maximise customer lifetime value.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Working alongside the CEO and external advisors to provide financial insights that contribute towards key business decisions and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Working closely with team members. For example with Marketing to help drive, measure and improve incremental contribution profit. And Operations on opportunities for cost savings and cash flow improvements.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers. This will include taking responsibility for our financial modelling and any sensitivity analysis.
• Implement and improve internal financial systems, controls, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Monitor cash flow and predict future trends.

Who you are
• Likely a Financial Controller or Manager with strong leadership skills who is looking to take the next step up or you may be a current Head of Finance looking for a role at a fast-growing venture-backed company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong management accounting experience with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience working in an FMCG omnichannel business is preferable.
• Proven leadership & management experience
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Strong understanding of financial software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong excel modelling skills
