COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER 

This is an immediate opening for a skilled commercial finance expert to undertake this permanent opportunity. You must have ideally retail or PE backed experience and a track record supporting a business through sales growth from a UK or International perspective. 
 
The company has a business plan which see's significant year on year growth, and they require a qualified accountant who can support our existing Commercial Finance team in delivering timely and actionable insights to both finance and non-finance teams via detailed analysis of the company’s financial performance. 
 
The successful candidate will also manage the Sales and Margin P&L lines, within the core business. Someone who can support our existing Commercial Finance team in delivering timely and actionable insights to both finance and non-finance teams via detailed analysis of the company’s financial performance. 
Key Responsibilities for the Financial Controller: 
 
You can work remotely, however, you will be required to attend the office in London (City Based) 3 days per week. 
 
Providing decision support to the leadership team, you will seek to drive business performance and create value. 
Owning weekly and monthly sales and margin reporting for the UK core Travel business 
Provide analysis, insight and informative reporting to support and influence business decisions. 
Own the budget and forecast process for Sales and Margin, including communication of the timeline and in-depth understanding of assumptions build. 
Insightful analysis of Key Performance Indicators such as Average Transaction Value and Spend Per Passenger 
Developing a comprehensive understanding of category margins with Volume, Rate, Mix analysis. 
Evaluating the success of ongoing trials and projects, and proposing recommendations 
Managing a team of 3; supporting their development and learning 
 
The successful candidate is: 
Someone highly numerate with an analytical background, ideally within Retail. 
Advanced Excel is essential. 
Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 2+ years Post Qualified Experience 
Commercial Finance/FP&A and Business Partnering experience. 
PowerBI knowledge would be of benefit. 
Effective communicator, influencer, and challenger with senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen.
