Job of The Week - Group Financial Controller
We’re partnering with a European private equity-backed business in the midst of major transformation and growth. This is a pivotal role, providing financial leadership across seven countries and supporting ambitious expansion plans.
As Group Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of governance standards, shareholder reporting, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance at a group level. You’ll work closely with procurement, risk, structured finance, and treasury teams, while leading the coordination of audits, budgets, and financial reporting processes.
This is more than a technical role, it’s an opportunity to shape the future of the business and progress towards a CFO succession plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Governance
Maintain compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and governance standards.
Ensure timely and accurate publication of financial statements.
Oversee financial and management accounts with strong monthly controls.
Lead working capital planning and controls in coordination with structured finance and treasury.
Reporting & Compliance
Deliver accurate, insightful reporting to shareholders (private equity)
Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
Drive risk management strategies across the group.
Support tax planning and management alongside structured finance and treasury teams.
Strategic Growth & Development
Lead the budget and forecasting process.
Support entry into new countries and markets, creating new processes and systems to enable growth.
Provide leadership, guidance, and skills development to wider finance and support teams.
What We’re Looking For
ACA qualified, trained in a Big 4 firm.
Strong technical accounting skills with proven experience across multiple regions.
Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to partner effectively across procurement, risk, and finance teams.
Strategic mindset with the capability to lead in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
