FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for financial accounts, month end, ledgers, and financial control.
The role will initially take on a technical focus, tightening controls, procedures and balance sheet weaknesses but will then have a highly commercial angle - looking at acquisition targets, due diligence, contract negotiations and strategic review of short-, medium- and long-term plans.
It would suit a qualified individual with a strong technical accounting background who also possesses commercial acumen with ambitions to grow in an ever changing, evolving, and expanding business.
Key Duties with include:
• Leadership and development of the finance team
• Implementing and maintaining all financial controls and systems within the business, identifying, and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures
• Supporting the continued success of the business on projects and business change ensuring scalability of processes and systems as the business grows
• Evolve the financial accounting within the business.
• Month end close and reporting with full commentary.
• Develop forecasting models & budgeting (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow)
The Candidate
• You will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA with proven skills in financial accounting/reporting and have a commercially focussed approach.
• A strong understanding of operational systems and the associated financial controls
• A true team player with strong leadership skills capable of flexibility and application to tasks at a variety of different levels
